Sanjiv Bhardwaj is a pharmacy technician who has been on the AXIS team since July 2018. When asked why Sanjiv was selected as this month’s recipient, Dave Doane, AXIS Pharmacy CEO, and Richard Molitor, R. Ph. “Pharmacist-in-Charge” had these kind words to share:
“Sanjiv, in the time he’s been here, has demonstrated enormous capability in the procurement of just about anything. If it exists, he’ll find it. It’s almost uncanny and sort of like the Radar O’Reilly character in M.A.S.H. His professionalism and people skills are second to none. It’s a true pleasure to have him here with us. He is a great family man outside of work, he beams when he talks about his kids, I love that. He also makes the best Samosas (click the link for the recipe), they are a hit at our potlucks!”
We asked Sanjiv a few questions about his job and life outside of work.
In one or two sentences, provide a brief description of “A Day in the Life” at your job.
I am directly involved with the customers on a daily basis both in person and over the phone. I also order supplies and process the receipt and shipment of mail and packages and handle bank deposits.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I always try to provide excellent service to all our customers, and they appreciate my work.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
While we always strive to provide the best customer service and fulfill our customers’ needs, sometimes it is not always possible and for me, that is the most challenging.
What is your favorite part about working at AXIS Pharmacy Northwest?
I truly enjoy what I do, my work schedule, and the team of people that I work with.
What advice would you give to someone looking to get into your line of work?
I think it’s important that you enjoy working with people and that you have patience.
What is one of your most prized possessions?
My family and friends.
Tell us about some things that you like to do in your time off/spare time?
Cook, walk, exercise, volunteer, and watch TV.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I design and build houses and create landscape designs.
