Normally, we like to post about what is happening in our pharmacy and around us. Today, Michelle is going to tell you a story.
A few weeks ago, while crocheting some hats for my baby, I realized the abundance of hats that no longer fit my little girl (babies grow too quickly). Since many of the hats are handmade, getting them on the heads of some needy babies became apparent and put the word out to friends. Within a day, one of my friends sent me a message asking to pick up the hats for another friend who volunteers for an organization called Hand in Hand/ Safe Place in Everett, WA.
The next day, while doing my daily morning work chores, curiosity got the best of me and began to research this organization. Happenstance would have it, they would only be 1 block away from Shiraz Pharmacy. Pulling on my heartstrings, I had to drop by!
After meeting the Program Coordinator and making the connection between myself and the hats, she explained the hats went into immediate use and how thankful they were for them. While there, I discovered an even bigger need -A reliable pharmacy.
We are so very proud to announce this special partnership and look forward to serving children in need in our community. Hand in Hand is always in need of donations and volunteers.
